Jonathan Grybos is a high school social studies teacher from Pennsylvania. He dedicates his classroom and time to a history club. This is no ordinary history club, however. Grybos has been able to cultivate several guest speakers for his club, including Dr.

Interning as a Humanities Student
Last year philosophy major Christina Soriano interned at Dorn Policy Group. Christina was eager to dip her toes into a new field, but couldn’t find any internships in Arizona.
“I eventually stumbled upon an article Dorn Policy Group had released about what their interns did from a few years ago, in that article it had stated that if you wanted to intern with them just send an email through their website of why you think you would be a good fit, so I did,” she said.

The humanities can help you in the workplace
I sat down with SHPRS Academic Advisor Michael Currey to talk about how the humanities can be added to your resumé, and how they can help you in the workplace.
Michael Currey has a bachelor of science in business administration, a bachelor degree in philosophy, a master’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in history.

Award Recipient Travels to Vietnam
Samuel Watson is triple majoring in chemical engineering, Asia Studies (Southeast Asia), and economics.
His honor thesis project is based in Vietnam and specifically looks into how relations in the country have normalized, asking how the country was able to reunify so effectively in just a generation or two after the Vietnam War.
